This technique, originally called “The Hypopressive Method”, was developed in the United Kingdom by Dr. Marcel Caufriez in 1980’s. Dr Caufriez has a PHD in Movement Science and is a specialist in pelvic dysfunction. Now this technique has been used for therapeutic and aesthetic purposes by European celebrities, athletes, and any person who wants to look and feel better.

The reason why this technique has aesthetic outcomes is because this technique reduces waist by 2 sizes in two months- and the best part, the tummy looks flat at all times in any posture without trying too hard. Alexandra Chaux graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Universidad del Valle in Colombia in 2001, followed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from A. T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, USA, in 2010. Doctor Alexandra received her 200 hours RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification under Adarsh and Heleen Williams at Monterey Yoga Shala, in California. She completed her training in Abdominal Hypopressive Method in Spain. She is honored to be the only therapist in the United States certified with this innovative method offered only to Doctors and Physical therapists in Europe.
Through her extensive international training, she has developed a unique way of improving quality of life. She has created and integral program with plant-based recipes, exercises, tips for a healthy life to improved health and wellness. She believes that integral healthcare including healthy food, yoga, and a healthy lifestyle contributes to a healthy and happy life.

Alexandra enjoys helping her clients to get better with realistic goals setting according to their needs and expectations. She combines an integral approach of services including yoga, hypopressives, physical therapy, meditation, plant-based diet, and personalized exercises prescription to contribute to the own healing journey of each person.  Clients learn how to listen to their bodies, reprogram their brains with healthy postural patterns and healthy habits to optimize functional movement and improve quality of life. As a result, clients gradually get stronger, their flexibility improve, they feel less tired, and their energy level increase. In addition, they experience weight loss and their skin start glowing.

Alexandra loves doing Ashtanga yoga and cooking vegan meals. She loves reading and hiking with her family and Golden Retriever Lulu.
