Shana Berger, D.C.
Director and founder of the Bodysattva Healing Arts Center and Studio, Dr. Berger holds her Doctorate in Chiropractic, from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (now Southern California University of Health Sciences) and has been in practice in the Conejo Valley since 1993. She uses a variety of Chiropractic techniques including Sacro-Occipital Technique, Diversified, Cox and cranial work and draws from over 20 years of manual therapy and massage experience. To Dr. Berger, being a holistic practitioner means treating the whole person and finding the appropriate treatment to produce the most desired result for the patient. She feels it is important to get to know her patients and learn about their lives to decipher the best course of action to take in order to achieve mutually set goals. Many of her clients are new to Chiropractic or are unsure about returning to a Chiropractor. Her gentle style, patience and compassionate care result in a positive experience. Helping people who are unsure or have had bad experiences in the past is very rewarding because Chiropractic can be so magical, producing some level of relief in just one session.
Certification as a Master Somatic Coach by the Strozzi Institute in Petaluma, California, allows Dr. Berger a unique perspective, powerful listening and observation and the bridging of bodywork with somatic reconditioning by using breath, touch, movement and attention guiding her clients toward new ways of responding to life’s pressures and opportunities.
Dr. Berger’s interest and experience in healthcare dates back over thirty years. Since then she has been passionate about creating a healthcare environment that offers a diverse approach to treatment that benefits both client and staff. This passion has shaped the evolution of a small multidisciplinary/complementary office to a diverse multi-model healthcare center. “Our goal is to be a great resource in the community, to generate a place where people can come and relax, heal, rejuvenate and connect with themselves in a non-stressful, noncompetitive environment for the sake of producing a more meaningful and fulfilling life.”
Dr. Berger is an avid yoga student, backpacker/hiker, road and mountain biker, admirer of nature down to its miniscule perfect flowers, adventurer, occasional rock climber, scuba diver, back country skier and closeted artist. (Back to Top)

Shelley Cerny, L.Ac.
For most of my life, I've been passionate about and a little obsessed with understanding how to be the best, most graciously empowered version of myself that I can be. Along the way, I've gained a wealth of skills and tools to help people heal. I love sharing what I've learned and helping my patients feel better, healthier, and more aware and empowered than before.
I earned a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine with honors from Yo San University, the only acupuncture school in the country requiring extensive qi development studies. I also studied and worked in major TCM Hospitals in Beijing, China. I’m licensed in California – the most rigourous of all state tests and I also hold a license with the National Board of Acupuncture. I am also currently faculty in the Qi Department at YSU teaching weekly qigong to graduate students.
I specialize in treating chronic stress and anxiety along with pain, digestive problems and women’s conditions.
It is my experience that a healthy, well aligned body and mind free of tension, stress and toxicity allows for a healthy mood, an inspired outlook and a frequently magical life. It is my joy to share my zest for health with anyone seeking and committed to an improved and more physically satisfying time here on this planet.
